a.k.a. The Matrix Redeemed or Matrix Immortals Redemption

THIS IS DRAWN from the memories and experiences of
THOMAS P. ALTHOUSE and those around him.
ACT ONE
INT. THOMAS ROOM WITH DESK 1992
THOMAS
(typing quickly)
It's finally done! Look out,
Hollywood!
THOMAS walks out of his office room in the house to enter
the kitchen.
THOMAS
I finished it, everybody! Here it
is finally! (he holds up the stack
of paper and kisses it
affectionately, in love with his
accomplishment)
REGINA
(sitting at chair, then
jumps up for joy)
Bravo, Tom! Bravo!
KIRSTEN
(sitting, holding a book
on how to speak Italian,
holds up other hand with
index finger up)
Hai fatto bene! Felicitazioni!
Rallegramenti! That means,
"Congradulations"!
THOMAS
Thank you! Thank you very much!
(looking around) Where's Oteaka?
REGINA
Oh she'll be coming home soon. She
went out with that group of models
on the shoot at the beach.
THOMAS
Okay, now I remember. (then looks
back at his script)
INT. COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG HOUSE, SPACIOUS LIVING ROOM
OTEAKA enters with CRYSTAL, TINA, and JANICE, a group of
three high-heeled, dolled-up, glamorous models. They walk
single-file into the LIVING ROOM. They have come from a
production shoot at the beach. Already, THOMAS, REGINA,
KIRSTEN are situated comfortably on couches.
THOMAS
(preoccupied with
reviewing his script in
hand, turns his head up
when OTEAKA is standing
over him)
Well, here you are! OTEAKA, I've
done it. The script is finished.
OTEAKA
That is awesome, Tom! You've worked
so hard on your script all these
months! (looking around at the
group of models) Janice, Tina,
Crystal, you ladies can go ahead
and use the facilities. Make
yourselves comfortable; this is a
momentous day for us.
The models start talking with each other off to the side and
background. One by one they leave the living room to use
the bathroom.
OTEAKA
Would you let me see the script. I
want to hold it in my hands.
THOMAS
Of course, OTEAKA. You may hold the
baby... you helped create. (he
hands it to her carefully)
OTEAKA
(she receives the script
with reverence, then
whispers)
THOMAS, it's like a holy work of
art. (she flips through some pages,
then hands it back to THOMAS)
THOMAS
(he takes back the
script)
This is how I whisper through art.
OTEAKA
(continues to whisper)
I feel the Holy Spirit is with
us.(she reaches out to one of the
models, CRYSTAL, to grasp her hand)
CRYSTAL
I feel that too.
KIRSTEN
It's the power of God working
through TOM.
REGINA
(nodding her head in
acknowledgement)
God is working through you.
THOMAS
Regina, we are all working on this
Godly mission. We must get the
truth out to the public, girls.
What happened to me at the
Christian network will not be
ignored. Those crimes will be
punished and it will help protect
others in the future. It can never
happen again. Never.
The models have been mingling around quitely, next scene
follows TINA as she leaves the LIVING ROOM to enter the
BATHROOM. In the hall outside the bathroom, TINA and JANICE
whisper.
TINA
This sounds all very interesting.
But what does Tom mean? What
happened to him in the Christian
group?
JANICE
Well, I've been visiting here lots
of times in the past year. Tom has
told us that he was the vicitm of
some horrendous abuse over at the
Robertson Church.
TINA
Tom? Abused? You've got to be
kidding! Who would do something to
such a sweet man as Tom?
JANICE
That's what we want to know. They
seem to be abusive and controlling
and not like the good Christians
you'd think of. It's very
suspicious and it doesn't bode well
at all for that church.
TINA
It sounds horrible. It's hypocrisy
if you ask me! I'm glad that Tom
is doing something about it. The
answer must be in his script.
JANICE
Yes. (she gently takes a hold of
TINA) Yes, it is. He whispers
through his art.
INT. COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG HOUSE, DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM
TINA is in the bathroom freshening up, changing out of her
high heels and formal dress. OTEAKA knocks on the door.
OTEAKA
Yoohoo in there! TINA, I have those
house slippers you asked for.
TINA
(opening the door)
Oh you're a sweetheart, OTEAKA!
Thank you.
OTEAKA
I've got a little secret for you.
TINA
Do tell. Come right into my
office.
OTEAKA
(gingerly steps into the
bathroom with TINA)
Since this is a happy occasion,
we're planning a little party.
It's in honor of Tom's
accomplishment. We're going to...
FADE INTO NEXT
SCENE, VOICE TRAILS
OFF OVERLAPPING ONTO
NEXT DIALOGUE
INT. COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG HOUSE, SPACIOUS LIVING ROOM
THOMAS, REGINA, KIRSTEN, CRYSTAL, JANICE are there. TINA
and OTEAKA return.
REGINA
(sitting comfortably on
the floor doing yoga)
This is... going to be on the big
screen, before you know it!
THOMAS
You really think so? I feel like
it's good enough. I'm hoping it
will be picked up by a major
studio.
REGINA
Yeah, let's make sure it goes all
the way! (everybody in the room
agrees enthusiastically)
THOMAS
Thank you, girls. I couldn't do it
without you. I think everything's
really going to take off now. The
sky's the limit!
INT. COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG HOUSE
THOMAS is home with REGINA, KIRSTEN, and OTEAKA
OTEAKA
Remember, we're a trinity of
support around you, TOM.
THOMAS
Do you promise?
KIRSTEN
No matter what.
INT. LENNY COCCO'S HOUSE 1992
(LENNY on the big landline - phone call to JUDY VANKEVICH)
LENNY COCCO is a well-known entertainer who was popular
in the 1950s and early 60's. COCCO was the singer for
his doo-wop band "The Chimes" and had some hit songs
including: "Once in Awhile", "I'm in the Mood for
Love", "Two Times Two", and "Now and Then". There was
a rumor thay he was somehow involved with members of
the Italian Mafia. Aside from rumors, he and Thomas
Althouse are linked for posterity.
INT. JUDY VANKEVICH'S OFFICE AT UNIVERSAL
LENNY COCCO
Judy, this is a dynamite script!
It's going to make one heckuva
movie!
JUDY VANKEVICH
Yes, Mr. COCCO, it's all that and
more! I've made arrangements to
put this in the pipeline. You can
help by bringing this to the
attention of your friend, Mr. Di
Bonaventura over at Warner.
LENNY COCCO
THOMAS
This is amazing, Mr. COCCO! You
don't know how much this means to
me. It's a dream come true.
NADIA CINTINO
You really broke through, Thomas.
Congradulations!
THOMAS
Thank you, Nadia!
LENNY COCCO
Young man, you made it to the big
time!
INT. THOMAS HOUSE
OTEAKA
How exciting! This is beyond
exciting! I can't wait for the
movie to be produced!
THOMAS
It will be, very soon! Things are
moving right along! Mr. Di
Bonaventura asked me to submit more
materials. They request the
treatment of the script and
character breakdown. I'm sending
it this weekend hopefully. Then
we're going to find out when they
go into production.
KIRSTEN
This makes me so happy!
REGINA
I am absolutely thrilled!

MICHAEL EISNER

THOMAS arrives at the office to talk with JAMES BOYD.
